On the 23rd of April a Great event of scouts was held in the Icheri Sheher (Old City) in Baku.
For the very short time (1,5h) the team of 5-7 pupils had to do the tasks on the map. There were some control points noted in the map with several tasks. The team had to begin the tasks from the moment of receiving the envelope and to stop at the finish line.
The main condition of the task was not to go beyond the fortress of Icheri Sheher, not to devide into smaller groups.
The team contained a photographer, a camera- man, an assistant- secretary of a camera- man, a navigator, who was responsible for the direction, the leader and the one who was responsible for the public relations.
All the tasks were fixed on the paper and had to be in the right order. At the finish line the team gave their map and the paper with the notes.
The results will be announced next week.
The pupils of our school ( VIA, VIIA, VIIIA and IXR ) managed to do the tasks quicker.
It wasn’t difficult to take photos of unique historical monuments and new buildings, residents and hotels, modern cars and extraordinary cars, beautiful flowers, workshops or to interview the guests of our city, but it was rather difficult to take photos of a young girl and a reading man.
29.04.2011 | “In the world of fairy tales”!
On April 29, on the stage of our school held a performance of “In the world of fairy tales”. Actors were 2R1 and 3R forms under the guidance of classroom teacher Sevda Agaeva. The mkids have shown an interesting production, gladdended with bright costumes and good acting.
29.04.2011 | An Excursion of the Monuments to Famous People.
On April 29, kiddies of 2R1 and 3R forms went on an excursion of the monuments to famous people. They visited such places as a monument to Samed Vurgun, Alexandr Pushkin, Husein Javid, Uzeir Hajibeyov, Nariman Narimanov, etc. The kids listened attentively to the story of a teacher, asked questions.
28.04.2011 | The Performance “Teremok”.
On April 28, the pupils of the primary school (the 1st and the 2nd forms) with their form teacher Shimchenko Elena showed a performance “Teremok” on the stage of owr hall. The main theme of the performance was “a healthy way of life”. The children were dressed in coloured costumes, took part in the contests cheerfully. The performance had a great success.
04.04.2011 | On the Shooting Range.
On April 4, the pupils of 11 grade of our school, went to a military unit on the shooting range with the teacher of CWP Kerimov Zabit. 18.03.2011 | Celebrating Novruz in the Orphanage.
On 18 March pupils of 7R class and the teaching staff of our school went to the orphanage. The kids were glad for our coming. They read poems and told about Novruz. After that kids showed us how they can dance. Dances accompanied by various competitions, pre-prepared by our teachers. The kids were pleased with our coming and we were happy to bring joy to kids! 15.03.2011 | Concert Dedicated to Novruz.
On 15 March there was a concert in our school dedicated to Novruz. The main actors of that concert were pupils of primary and secondary school. The first pupils at the stage were 2,3 and 4A grades. They sang, danced, recited poems. The pupils of 2R1 and 2R2 classes and pleased us with patriotic poems. 1R class sang songs. Pupils of 3R class- Gasimov Rashad and Mammadova Naila class pupils played the piano and Mammadzadeh Ulvi the pupil of 2R2 class played the violin. The concert was filled with a national flavor. 15.03.2011 | Competition Dedicated to the Holiday Novruz.
On 15 March there was a competition in our school dedicated to the holiday Novruz. The contest was conducted among secondary school pupils.
The pupils were supposed to prepare a performance, to tell about this holiday, decorate their classrooms. The jury consisted of our respected teachers. They passed all classrooms and estimated the performances of the pupils.
As a result of the contest the winner were determined. They became 8R class! Congratulations!
09.03.2011 | “Come on, girls!” competition!
On March 9 again took the competition “Come on, girls!” among the pupils of high school. There were two teams: “Brave girls” and Fashion network”/ Team composition was determined by lot. On the competition the girls showed their ability to sing, dance, sew buttons, and even to cook. So, with the result in 297 points won the team “Fashion Network”. The winners were awarded with Diplomas for the victory and participation.

On March 5, in our school was a competition among the junior girls “Come on, girls!”. The competition was attended by two teams: “Clever-Beautiful” and “Spice Girls”. The jury consisted of three people, our dear teachers. Since the beginning of the contest, they promised to judge fairly and impartially.
At this event were such competitions as the competition “Greeting”, competition of dancing, singing, and contests of young hostesses and logical contests. For each teams get points. As a result, gaining 380 points, the “Spice Girls” won!
Winners were awarded with certificates and medals for their victory and the team
“Clever-Beautiful” were awarded for participation.

19.02.2011 | Another English Party in Our School.
On February 18th there was another English party in our school. This time a group of pupils of From 2R1 together with their teacher Nadejda Stepanovna recited English poems and rhymes, sang merry songs, danced and even acted out two fairy tales “Three Bears” and “A house in the Wood” in English.
Among their guests there were their parents and the pupils of From 2R2 who also took part in the concert reciting English rhymes. Everybody enjoyed the party.

The contest of reciters called “Good bye, Winter!” was held at our school on February 15.
The pupils of the 1-4th forms took part in the contest. The performances of the children were estimated according to 10 point scale.

On February 25, at the press-conference hall of our school held an event devoted to the tragic date of Khojaly. Iskenderov Emil- history teacher spoke at the event. The pupils read the poems. 19.02.2011 | The logic game (5R and 6R classes).
On 18 February, between the pupils of 5R and 6R classes held a competition- logic game. Each team had its own name, device and emblem. 5R class- “Red dragons”, 6R class- “Luckies”. Participants were prepared for a variety of logical questions, tasks. Children competed honestly, the fans are actively rooting for their teams. As a result of the game with a score of 164 points won 5R class.
Their victory was awarded with a Diploma.

The performances in English are traditionally held at our school every year.
The kids of our school together with their teachers Sanubar khanum, Izdaq khanum and Nadezhda Stepanovna have prepared an interesting performance with a lot of rhymes, songs and plays in English.
The pupils of the 1st form demonstrated their knowledge of English they got at our school.
The participants from the forms 2R1, 2R2 and 3R sang songs and recited the poems, the 6 form pupils acted a play.

On the 19th of January the meeting devoted to the tragic events of January, 20 rook place in our school. The teacher of history Emil Iskenderov spoke about it. The pupils declared the poems. At the end of the meeting the patriotic film was watched. It was prepared by Garibov Orchan- the pupil of the 7th form.

On the 18th of January Pupils Of Our School Visited Avenue Of The Heroes (Allea Shechidov). They put flowers and respected the memory of the innocent men, who died as a result of the tragic events on the 20th January in 1990.
28.10.2010 | Sangachal Energy Centre.
On the 28 of October a large number of pupils from the 8th and 7th forms together with teachers:
Nargis Efendiyeva, Fazilya Lalayeva and assistant Nailya Agazade came to Sangachal Energy Centre
“Xəzər Enerji mərkəzi” an usually warm and friendly atmosphere reigned in the hall of the centre, where the pupils were met by Samira hanum, the manager of this center. At first, children played different logical games, saw small, but unique film about gas and oil. They were able to see an exhibition of different stones. On the 18th of October we had holiday at our school which was devoted to the Day of Azerbaijan Independence. We listened to Azerbaijan hymn then the holiday began and we watched the film about Azerbaijan. This film was prepared by the pupil of the 7thR form. His name is Qaribov Orchan. Vugar Babayev from the 7thA form, Farid and Tarlan from the 8th A form, Turan Geybulla and Zarifa Badalova from the 5th A and R forms declared the poems about our motherland. On the October 9th of October the pupils of the 5th, 6th and 7th forms went to Gobustan, where the game, which is called “Ceremony of hunt”, was held. There were a lot of enjoyment: the children were divited into two teams. They were given the costumes of ancient people. Every team chose a captain and “the lighting coloration” was the main part of the game.
At first the children were given some information about interests of ancient people. The children were interested in the museum’s exhibits. Before the beginning of the game the children were shown ancient instruments of labour and hunt. The game began. The teams had to find the pieces of totem and attach them. The children enjoyed the game. When the game finished, the children walked about Gobustan reserve.
The children didn’t want to leave they were impressed by this excursion.

The slide presentation devoted to the Earth Day was held by the pupils of the 6th-9th grades (biology teacher Naila Rahimova) on the 20 th of May.
The pupils works demonstrated good skills and knowledge on the learned items which included information about the rare plants and animals, National parks of the world, nervous system and brain (emotions, dream, memory) et. set.
Slide presentation was based on various computer programs, such as Microsoft Power Point, Windows Movie Maker, MIMIO because these programs are used for biology lessons.
There were no winners, but a lot of works were marked in different nomination, such as the most scientific, the most actual, the funniest, the shortest, the most informative, the most musical.
The pupils works were presented in Azeri, Russian and English.
Qaribov Orxan, Musayeva Zuleyxa, Aiyev Taleh, Xaddat Mariya, Nargiz, Azizova Nazrin, Agazada Cona, Rzayeva Ayan, Hasanov Məmməd, Aiyev Vuqar, Mammadov Ayxan, Jeyxun and Azad Guliyev, Urshana and Minara İsmayilova, Eminbayli Javadxan and Suleyman, Asadov Aga-İsmail were marked as the best. All participants were awarded diplomas and presents.
Museum of Tiny Books.
The pupils of 6th and 7th forms of Western Junior school attached to Western University visited the Museum of Tiny Books.
The museum was founded by Zarifa Salahova – the merited worker of Azerbaijan culture. There are 4350 tiny books issued in 62 countries of the world in this museum. The tiniest of the books (size 2x2 mm) belongs to the Japan Publishing House “Toppan”.
The mini-books, mikro-books, rare books and religious books were of great interest for the pupils.
Efendiyeva Nargiz – the English language teacher wrote her opinions in the wish book and thanked the guide of the museum.

19.01.2010 | The Anniversary of the Bloody January.
The pupils of the Western Junior school attached to Western University visited the «Alley of shahids», which is the Worship place of our people and put the flowers on the shahids' graves.The pupils were told about events of this bloody crime taken place from january 19 to 20 in 1990 by soviet forces.This heroic deed is always in our memory.
Boarding-school Visit.
On the 25 december the pupuils of the 8th and 9th forms of the school attached to Western University were at the boarding-school, which is situated in the settlement of Sarai. There are 145 pupils of different age at this school.Among them you can see invalids and children who suffer from different deseases.
Our pupils observed their rooms,classes and counteens,they also saw their models of needlework.At the end of this programme the concert took place.
New Year Performance!!!
The pupils of the 1R and 2R forms prepared the New Year Performance. The pupils of the 2R showed the old story “Morozko” in new interpretation. Then they made a journey to the fair tails world with the pupils of the 1R form.

Azerbaijan History Museum and the House-Museum of Haji-Zeynalabdin Taghiyev.
The pupils of Western Junior School attached to Western University have recently visited the Azerbaijan History Museum and the House-Museum of Haji-Zeynalabdin Taghiyev.
Both museums are located in the same building which used to be H.Z.Taghiyev's property.
The building was constructed at the end of the XIX century by a Polish architect on the order of H.Z.Taghiyev, a famous oil millionere and recpected by Azeri peoople for his charity.
They say that Taghiyev built this building for Sona Khanum, his wife. The architecture of the building is very beautiful.
The house-Museum was of great interest to the children. The guide told that everything in the house was kept as in H.Z.Taghiyev's life.
In the History Museum all centuries of our history are brightly revived with splendid exhibits. The display of life in the Azikh Cave and the description of the Qobustan monument were of special interest
The children examined the exhibits attentively and asked qeustions.

Uzeyir Hajibayov Museum.
In October-November 2009 the pupils of Western Junior School attached to Western University visited the house-museum of Uzeyir Hajibayov, the founder of Azerbaijan classical music.
Uzeyir Hajibayov lived and created in this house in 1915-1942.

Unique Science Museum after Hassanbay Ordubadi where have been taking place investigations became the place of holding of the interactive lesson about “Fish” and “Reptiles” items for the students of the 9th grade of our school. There are presented the collection of the minerals, some species, involving into the “Red Book”, such as disappearing and rarely, that proves the diversity of animals of our republic.

02.05.2009 | Lesson on the Teritory of the Shirvan Reservation.
On Saturday the interactive lesson about odd and even hoofed animals was held on the territory of the Shirvan reservation, which is situated in the half-desert zone of Salyan region. Built in the 1969 this reservation had about 77 species of antelopes. Amount of the animals is increased up to 8 thousands. There is largest area of the antelopes in the Caucasus. On the 20th of February in the Western Junior School there was an English Language Party. The students of VII Russian forms took part in this event.
